The Kind Old Stag (Simple Version)

Once upon a time, there lived an old stag in a green forest. He was very kind and friendly. Every day, he greeted all the animals and birds warmly. Everyone in the forest loved him.

The forest had plenty of food, but the stag liked to stay on a small hill. The hill was covered with soft and green grass. The stag enjoyed eating that fresh grass. Every day, he came down from the hill to meet his friends.

One day, the stag fell ill. He became very weak and found it difficult to climb the hill. He knew that fresh grass and rest would help him recover. So, he stayed on the hill and decided to rest.

The stag could not come down to meet his friends. All the animals became worried. When they heard that he was sick, they came to visit him.

“Dear stag, how are you?” asked a deer.
“I am too weak to come down,” replied the stag.
“Get well soon,” said the deer.

All the animals wished him a quick recovery. But before leaving, they ate the fresh green grass on the hill.

“The grass is very soft and tasty,” said the elephant.
“I have never eaten such juicy leaves,” said the giraffe.

Soon, all the animals in the forest heard about the tasty grass. Whenever they came to visit the stag, they also ate the grass.

After some days, very little grass was left on the hill. The old stag became weaker because he did not have enough food. His friends felt very sorry. They realized that their greed had hurt their dear friend.

The animals decided not to eat the grass on the hill anymore. They started bringing fresh leaves from the forest for the stag.

After a few days, it rained heavily. The grass on the hill grew again. The stag got enough food and slowly became healthy.

एक समय की बात है, एक हरे-भरे जंगल में एक बूढ़ा हिरण रहता था। वह बहुत दयालु और मिलनसार था। हर दिन वह सभी जानवरों और पक्षियों का गर्मजोशी से अभिवादन करता था। जंगल में हर कोई उससे प्यार करता था।

जंगल में खाने की कोई कमी नहीं थी, लेकिन हिरण को एक छोटी पहाड़ी पर रहना पसंद था। वह पहाड़ी नरम और हरी घास से ढकी हुई थी। हिरण उस ताज़ी घास को खाने का आनंद लेता था। हर दिन वह अपने दोस्तों से मिलने के लिए पहाड़ी से नीचे आता था।

एक दिन, हिरण बीमार पड़ गया। वह बहुत कमजोर हो गया और उसे पहाड़ी पर चढ़ना मुश्किल लगने लगा। वह जानता था कि ताज़ी घास और आराम उसे ठीक होने में मदद करेंगे। इसलिए, वह पहाड़ी पर ही रहा और आराम करने का फैसला किया।

हिरण अपने दोस्तों से मिलने नीचे नहीं आ सका। सभी जानवर चिंतित हो गए। जब उन्हें पता चला कि वह बीमार है, तो वे उससे मिलने आए।

“प्रिय हिरण, तुम कैसे हो?” एक हिरनी ने पूछा।
“मैं नीचे आने के लिए बहुत कमजोर हूँ,” हिरण ने जवाब दिया।
“जल्दी ठीक हो जाओ,” हिरनी ने कहा।

सभी जानवरों ने उसके जल्द स्वस्थ होने की कामना की। लेकिन जाने से पहले, उन्होंने पहाड़ी की ताज़ी हरी घास खा ली।

“यह घास बहुत नरम और स्वादिष्ट है,” हाथी ने कहा।
“मैंने कभी इतनी रसदार पत्तियाँ नहीं खाईं,” जिराफ ने कहा।

जल्द ही, जंगल के सभी जानवरों को उस स्वादिष्ट घास के बारे में पता चल गया। जब भी वे हिरण से मिलने आते, वे घास भी खा लेते।

कुछ दिनों बाद, पहाड़ी पर बहुत कम घास बची। बूढ़ा हिरण और कमजोर हो गया क्योंकि उसके पास पर्याप्त भोजन नहीं था। उसके दोस्तों को बहुत दुख हुआ। उन्हें एहसास हुआ कि उनके लालच ने उनके प्रिय मित्र को नुकसान पहुँचाया है।

जानवरों ने फैसला किया कि अब वे पहाड़ी की घास नहीं खाएँगे। वे जंगल से ताज़ी पत्तियाँ लाकर हिरण को देने लगे।

कुछ दिनों बाद, तेज बारिश हुई। पहाड़ी पर फिर से घास उग आई। हिरण को पर्याप्त भोजन मिला और वह धीरे-धीरे स्वस्थ हो गया।

 Moral (सीख):

Nature has enough for everyone, but we must use it wisely.
