What is Future Perfect Continuous Tense?

The Future Perfect Continuous Tense is used to describe an action that will have been continuing for a period of time up to a specific point in the future.

👉 It focuses on duration + continuity before a future time.

Future Perfect Continuous Tense का प्रयोग उस कार्य के लिए किया जाता है जो भविष्य के किसी निश्चित समय तक लगातार चलता रहेगा।

👉 इसमें समय की अवधि (duration) पर ज़ोर होता है।

पहचान (Identification in Hindi)

वाक्य के अंत में अक्सर ये शब्द आते हैं:

➡️ रहा होगा / रही होगी / रहे होंगे
➡️ और समय बताने के लिए:
since / for / by next year / by tomorrow / for five years आदि

Sentence Structure

Affirmative (Positive)

Subject + will / shall + have been + verb (ing) + object + time

Examples:

1. I will have been studying for three hours.
   मैं तीन घंटे से पढ़ता रहा होगा।

2. She will have been working here since 2020.
   वह 2020 से यहाँ काम करती रही होगी।

Negative

Subject + will / shall + not + have been + verb (ing) + time

Examples:

1. He will not have been sleeping for long.
   वह ज़्यादा देर से सोता नहीं रहा होगा।

2. We shall not have been waiting for two hours.
   हम दो घंटे से इंतज़ार नहीं कर रहे होंगे।

Interrogative (Question)

Wh + Will / Shall + subject + have been + verb (ing) + time?

Examples:

1. Will you have been working for five hours?
   क्या तुम पाँच घंटे से काम करते रहे होगे?

2. Shall we have been studying since morning?
   क्या हम सुबह से पढ़ते रहे होंगे?

Negative Interrogative

Wh + Will / Shall + subject + not + have been + verb (ing) + time?

Examples:

1. Will he not have been living here for years?
   क्या वह वर्षों से यहाँ नहीं रह रहा होगा?

2. Shall we not have been preparing for the exam?
   क्या हम परीक्षा की तैयारी नहीं कर रहे होंगे?

Use of SINCE

Since is used to show the starting point of an action in the past.

Examples:

1. He had been studying since morning.

2. She had been living here since 2015.

3. They had been waiting since 10 o’clock.

4. I had been teaching English since last year.

Use of FOR

For is used to show the duration of time (period of time) of an action in the past.

Examples:

1. He had been studying for two hours.

2. She had been living here for five years.

3. They had been waiting for a long time.

4. I had been teaching English for three years.

Note: There is a simple trick that if a time can be counted like 2 years, 2 months, 2 weeks, 2 minutes, 2 seconds etc. then you can consider that "for " will be used else "since".

Affirmative (सकारात्मक वाक्य)

1. वह दो घंटे से काम कर रहा होगा।

2. वे सुबह से स्कूल में पढ़ रहे होंगे।

3. वह एक साल से इस कंपनी में नौकरी कर रही होगी।

4. राम 2010 से दिल्ली में रह रहा होगा।

5. बच्चे शाम से खेल रहे होंगे।

Negative (नकारात्मक वाक्य)

1. वह दो घंटे से काम नहीं कर रहा होगा।

2. वे सुबह से स्कूल में पढ़ नहीं रहे होंगे।

3. वह एक साल से इस कंपनी में नौकरी नहीं कर रही होगी।

4. राम 2010 से दिल्ली में नहीं रह रहा होगा।

5. बच्चे शाम से खेल नहीं रहे होंगे।

Interrogative (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)

1. क्या वह दो घंटे से काम कर रहा होगा?

2. क्या वे सुबह से स्कूल में पढ़ रहे होंगे?

USE 1: To show the duration of an action up to a specific time in the future

The action starts before a future time and continues till that future moment.

उस क्रिया की शुरुआत भविष्य के किसी समय से पहले होती है और वह क्रिया उस भविष्य के समय तक जारी रहती है।

Examples:

1. By next year, I will have been teaching English for ten years.
   अगले साल तक मैं दस वर्षों से अंग्रेज़ी पढ़ा रहा/रही होऊँगा/होगी।

2. By 8 p.m., she will have been working for twelve hours.
   रात 8 बजे तक वह बारह घंटों से काम कर रही होगी।

3. By Monday, they will have been living here for six months.
   सोमवार तक वे यहाँ छह महीनों से रह रहे होंगे।

4. By the end of this month, we will have been preparing for the exam for three months.
   इस महीने के अंत तक हम परीक्षा की तैयारी तीन महीनों से कर रहे होंगे।

5. By 2026, he will have been running the business for twenty years.
   2026 तक वह इस व्यवसाय को बीस वर्षों से चला रहा होगा।

USE 2: To emphasize how long an action has been continuing before a future point

Examples:

1. By the time you arrive, I will have been waiting for two hours.
   जब तुम पहुँचोगे, तब तक मैं दो घंटे से इंतज़ार कर रहा होगा।

2. She will have been studying English since morning by evening.
   शाम तक वह सुबह से अंग्रेज़ी पढ़ती आ रही होगी।

3. By noon, they will have been traveling for eight hours.
   दोपहर तक वे आठ घंटे से यात्रा कर रहे होंगे।

4. By next week, he will have been practicing daily for one year.
   अगले सप्ताह तक वह एक साल से रोज़ अभ्यास करता आ रहा होगा।

5. By midnight, we will have been discussing the issue for hours.
   आधी रात तक हम इस मुद्दे पर कई घंटों से चर्चा कर रहे होंगे।

USE 3: To show the cause of a future situation or result

Action happens before and leads to a result in the future.

कार्य भविष्य में होने वाले परिणाम से पहले होता है और उसी परिणाम का कारण बनता है।

Examples:

1. He will be tired because he will have been working all day.
   वह थका हुआ होगा क्योंकि वह पूरे दिन काम करता रहा होगा।

2. She will need rest as she will have been traveling all night.
   उसे आराम की आवश्यकता होगी क्योंकि वह पूरी रात यात्रा करती रही होगी।

3. They will be exhausted because they will have been playing since morning.
   वे बहुत थक चुके होंगे क्योंकि वे सुबह से खेलते रहे होंगे।

4. I will be confident because I will have been practicing for months.

5. The students will improve as they will have been studying regularly.

USE 4: To make a logical assumption or prediction about an ongoing action before a future time

(अनुमान / logical guess )
Speaker assumes something based on time or situation.
वक्ता समय या परिस्थिति के आधार पर किसी बात का अनुमान लगाता है।

1. Don’t call him now; he will have been sleeping for some time.
   उसे अभी फोन मत करो; वह कुछ समय से सो रहा होगा।
